Conniburrow Community Group are focused on engaging with the aspirations of our community and promotion of wider involvement and social cohesion through meaningful partnerships.
Conniburrow Community Group was set up by residents for residents of Conniburrow in the late 80’s and established in the 90’s as a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. Its objectives are:
The CCG together with MKC and other agencies wish to deliver to the community a top quality multi-use facility and Community Centre to Conniburrow and the whole city which can be used as a match venue, development base and centre of excellence of some significance in this region.
A new project board has been formed to incorporate the rebuilding of the Community Centre which was destroyed by fire and the provision of a multi-use facility for Football in Conniburrow. It is an opportunity for excellence which we must not miss.
The CCG are the leaseholders of the Playing Fields and Community Centre and Landscape Depot (office) and should have 100% control over which teams, baseball and or softball play, football and charges.
As leaseholders – The CCG working together with MKC and other agencies have strong influence on the design of the new facilities to be recreated.
The current 35 year lease that Conniburrow Community Group holds from Milton Keynes Council for The Pavilion and Playing Field and Landscape Depot is the legally binding document, which specifically prohibits another party or user taking any control over the facilities at Conniburrow.
